Upcoming events

Providence Stewardship Ministries is planning a get together for young children, especially boys, around the theme of Ancient Rome, Early Christianity, and Classic Mediterranean Foods.  Children will have a chance to hear about early Christianity in Ancient Rome, share about the way they used Lego blocks to build a Roman structure, play together with Lego blocks, and try some healthy and wholesome homemade breakfast foods.  The event will be held on a Saturday morning from approximately 9 am to 11 am.  The event will be free.   

Providence Stewardship Ministries has convened the First Committee on Providing Children with Uplifting Messages about Healthy Eating with the goal of recommending and providing resources to adults who would like to help children develop eating habits which are healthy and linked to Christian spirituality.  The committee will evaluate 12 books, from which they will select 7.  Those seven will be recommended to adults; additionally the committee will make available reading comprehension questions and discussion topics linking themes in the selected books to those in the Christian scriptures.
